My eyesight was never something I really thought twice about. I never had issues seeing the board or reading things up close and when the eye doctor finally did notice some issues with my sight in high school, it wasn’t at a point where I really needed to wear my glasses to get by.
Once I started my second year of college all of that changed. I still remember being in my accounting class pretty close to the front of the room and still squinting for dear life to make out the words and symbols on the board. At that point, hubby (boyfriend at the time) and I gathered what few dollars we had and went for eye exams and new glasses, taking advantage of a 2 for $99 special.
Ever since then my vision has declined. Declined to the point where I need my glasses just to watch tv across the room to avoid getting a headache. It’s actually to the point where I keep my glasses on the nightstand because if I’m not sleeping they need to be on my face to help me see.
As you can probably tell, I’m not the biggest fan of having to wear glasses, so I do have a supply of contacts on hand. I love my contacts because I can wear dramatic eye makeup with out having to worry about glasses covering it up, but contacts can be high maintenance at times. Which is why I’m glad to have to have both options in my life. But I think it’s time to upgrade my current glasses (the same pair Ive had since sophomore year of college, don’t judge me) into something that fits my personality and style a little more closely. Possibly something that I could wear dramatic eye makeup with.
Ive picked out 6 styles of glasses above and you’re welcome to leave your opinion on which you think would suit me better. So far I’m pretty hooked on style #1. But we shall see when it’s time to try on glasses. I only know I definitely want bigger frames.
