Thanksgiving Outfits!

Thanksgiving outfitsThe holiday season is finally here, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Everyone is anticipating spending some time with family and friends and enjoying the best meal of the year. I myself have been thinking about the turkey, cornbread stuffing, baked macaroni and cheese, a big ol’ pot of greens, candied yams, cranberry sauce, rolls, sweet potato pie, pecan pie, homemade caramel cake, and a soda. It’s also the only time of year where you can come out of the kitchen with a slice of every dessert available on your plate and no one side eyes you.

With your eyes being way bigger than your stomach, you may be tempted to unbutton your pants for a little extra space once they start cutting into you, or if you’re in comfortable company, removing your pants all together. But hopefully this post will prevent that from happening.

Thanksgiving Outfits –Ideas

These two Thanksgiving outfits will give you plenty of room to “expand” in during your holiday meals, without looking like you’re a greedy glutton. Outfit #1 is for a more dressy occasion, like if your meeting your significant others family, or attending a holiday dinner party. The flowy cami and tutu with an elastic band waist will keep you comfortable the entire day. If your holiday will be a casual one then outfit #2 may be better suited for you. A nice pair of stretchy black leggings and cami, covered by a chunky sweater will keep the bulge at bay, from other eyes anyways.

What recipe are you most looking forward to this Thanksgiving? For me it would have to be candied yams, which is surprising because usually I can’t wait to get my fork into the mac n cheese.

I love both of these looks! Of course for me they would need to be modified for plus sizes. I’m going for the leggings this year, they are my current go-to. As for recipes, it would have to be the mashed potatoes. I just love them. I wrote about Thanksgiving today too, check it out if you’re interested.
