Travel | Let’s go to: Colorado

colorado

Hey guys! It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here but I decided to take a little break from blogging/Youtube and I’m finally back in full force. More so, on my Youtube channel. To help freshen up life a bit, hubby and I decided to take a semi-spur the moment trip to Colorado. It wasn’t as drawn out or as long as our trip to Thailand, but if you’re interested in some awesome travel planning tips check out this post I wrote earlier this year.

We flew into Denver International Airport, and rented a car for the 4-hour drive to Alamosa, CO. There we spent a day at the Great Sand Dunes National Park and enjoyed the cheap prices and small mountain town vibe. By midday I was feeling really ill, and it turned out I had a bad case of elevation sickness (shortness of breathe, throbbing headache, dry mouth, tiredness, loss of appetite etc.) We called it a day around 6pm and slept the rest of the day away in the hotel.

The next day we drove about 2.5 hours up to Colorado Springs where we enjoyed more mountain activity and checked out the Garden Of The Gods. It was extremely beautiful and I didn’t want to leave. We then drove around exploring the city and the sights.

Next we headed back to Denver and also checked out Boulder before turning in our car and taking on the city by foot –and public transit. Denver was an amazing city, and I really liked their awesome public transit! It put Houston to shame, but then, pretty much every major city puts Houston to shame in that department. I didn’t realize just how amazing the city was until we experienced the Denver nightlife! People were literally out in the streets singing and dancing. I managed to snap a few shots to share with you guys and of course there will be a vlog up soon on my Youtube Channel!!
