Winter Style: 2014 Wish List

Winter Style

Winter and winter style is still a few months away, but here in the lower half of Texas we don’t really get to experience Fall so I’m prepping early for the next season. Here’s kind of a photo shopping list, of a few pieces that I think will be amazing this fall/winter.

Winter Style

1. Leather jackets

I love leather. A leather jacket is pretty much a classic and everyone can pull some kind of leather jacket off. I plan on donating my current leather jacket and updating to a nice fitted one, that will give me the illusion of a more defined waist (the illusion may become a reality if I lay off the junk food.)

2. Wool floppy hats

I’ve watched too many British girls on YouTube obviously. I can’t wait to pair this floppy wool hat with a big coat or leather jacket and fur collar. The wool will also keep my head warm.

3. Faux Fur Collars and Gilets

These pieces add a touch of warmth and a splash of glamour to any outfit. I’ll still be able to get away with a light jacket during November/December if I include one of these.

4. Camel tie coat

For those days when we get those 2″ of snow or crazy cold winds.

5.-8. Shoes/Boots

I’ve been dying to have a pair of nude pumps. It’s been a complicated search, but I have found that for my brown girls “Cognac” is the perfect nude color for us. Do a quick google search for cognac pumps and you will find all kinds of nude glory.

9.-10. Long Sleeve Dresses

These just seem so necessary. Paired with a leather jacket, fur piece, thick tights and a pair of boots.

11. Thick knit and wooly sweaters

I’m sure here in Texas we could get by with just a nice thick sweater for a good portion of winter.

12.-14. Midi

Midi Dresses and skirts are making a move to fall/winter fashion as well. As long as you layer, you’ll be just as warm as if you wore pants. I’m definitely looking to add a faux leather midi skirt to my wardrobe this winter.
